About The Clinic
India does not have one vaccine list that fits every traveller. A short city break is different from visiting friends and relatives, travelling through rural areas, volunteering, trekking or staying for several months. Your consultation brings those details together with your health history and previous vaccinations.
NaTHNaC commonly advises travellers to be up to date with routine UK vaccinations and recommends hepatitis A for most previously unvaccinated visitors. Depending on your route and activities, we may also discuss typhoid, hepatitis B, rabies, Japanese encephalitis, cholera, malaria prevention and mosquito-bite precautions.

Why Vaccinate?
Your final recommendation depends on the exact places you’ll visit, how long you’ll stay, where you’ll eat and sleep, what you’ll do and your individual health risks. India advice commonly includes food and water protection, routine vaccines, and a route-specific malaria assessment.
Hepatitis A and typhoid spread through contaminated food and water. Vaccination may be recommended alongside careful food, water and hand hygiene, especially where sanitation may be uncertain.
Make sure routine UK vaccinations are up to date, including MMR and diphtheria-tetanus-polio. A tetanus-containing booster may be advised when medical facilities could be limited and your last dose was more than ten years ago.
Hepatitis B, rabies, Japanese encephalitis and cholera may be considered for longer stays, rural travel, animal contact, visiting friends and relatives, healthcare work or activities that increase exposure. Malaria precautions depend on your route and season.

Brighter countries carry heavier vaccine profiles. Drag to spin the globe, pick a region, or tap a country for its NaTHNaC-based guidance.
Hepatitis A and typhoid do the routine work here; Japanese encephalitis and rabies are the itinerary-dependent questions, driven by rural travel, duration and season.

Clear, upfront planning for India, from core vaccines to itinerary-dependent protection and malaria advice.
