About The Clinic
The Milton Keynes Clinic is led by Superintendent Pharmacist Olufumilola Soetan, an Independent Prescriber and Advanced Clinical Practitioner with 27 years of experience spanning community pharmacy, GP practice, urgent care and NHS 111. At your appointment, our trained team completes a short risk questionnaire with you and captures magnified dermoscopic images of the moles you’d like assessed, in a private consultation room.
Your images and information are sent securely to a UK Consultant Dermatologist for analysis, with a detailed written report emailed within 2 days. If anything needs follow-up, you’ll be contacted directly to discuss next steps. Our in-clinic team doesn’t diagnose your mole — that’s exactly the point: it’s assessed by a specialist.

Why Check?
The more familiar you are with your skin, the more likely you are to notice when something changes. Most moles are completely harmless — but changes in size, shape or colour are worth taking seriously, and getting a changing mole looked at properly is always the right call.
A mole that has changed size, shape or colour, become painful or itchy, started bleeding or crusting, or looks unusual and hasn’t settled after a few weeks should be checked. It’s also normal for new moles to appear in younger years, for moles to fade with age, and to darken slightly during pregnancy.
Magnified dermoscopic images show far more detail than the naked eye, and every scan is analysed by a dermatology specialist — not judged over the counter.
Book directly, no referral needed, with evenings and Saturdays available. But if a mole is changing quickly, bleeding, or you’re worried — see your GP without waiting for a scan.
Know Your ABCDE
Check your skin every few months. These five signs are what clinicians look for — and what should prompt you to get a mole assessed.
One half of the mole doesn’t match the other; harmless moles tend to be symmetrical.
Edges that are uneven, blurred or jagged; benign moles usually have smooth, even borders.
More than one colour, or unusual shades like red, white or blue; benign moles tend to be one even colour.
Larger than about 6mm across, or noticeably growing.
Any change at all — size, shape, colour, elevation, itching, bleeding or crusting — should be reviewed.
A normal-looking scan today isn’t a guarantee for tomorrow — moles change, so keep checking your skin regularly. And protect it: use a broad-spectrum SPF, reapply often, and stay in the shade when the sun is strongest (11am–3pm, March to October in the UK).

Your report is emailed within 2 days.
